2012 WRITERS' CONFERENCE - AT A GLANCE

Thirteen workshops on fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and professional development topics will be available, including an ePublishing session by Susan Wingate.

Barry Eisler is an international thriller writer and creator of the John Rain Series. His bestselling thrillers have been translated into nearly twenty languages. Barry spent several years in a covert position with the CIA and then worked as a technology lawyer and start-up executivein Silicon Valley and Japan. He recently shook up the bookselling industry by being one of the first established writers to turn away from a big advance and the legacy publishing world. He announced he would self-publish and subsquently signed on with Amazon's publishing arm. His latest book, The Detachment, was first released digitally in September 2011.
